It was an overcast and chilly day. Not too many people were on the bay.
Although we timed our departure to arrive at the Gate during slack water, there was barely enough wind to enable us to sail against the current and under the bridge; So we ended up tacking back and forth in front of the bridge for a while.
Finally we were able to just scoot under and we were off on our way. We had to motor the rest of the way to Half Moon Bay, but at least we got to sail under the Golden Gate!
